The MPV model uses a full LED system with redesigned headlights, and the grille is also tweaked to create a new look.
Mitsubishi Xpander 2022 is expected to debut at the Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) next week. But before the event, the MPV model was revealed in the Japanese automaker’s financial statements, it is not clear whether intentionally or accidentally.
The headlights are the biggest change in the upgraded version. The T-style is horizontal and full of LEDs instead of the square shape in the current version. The horizontal part extends close to the Dynamic Shield style grille. The daytime LED strip is higher and slimmer as it is today.
The grille border is almost unchanged, but the inside is different. The higher half (where the logo is located) is now split in two and is black instead of chrome. The other half is a honeycomb motif.
The lowest part at the front of the car is the fog light, which still retains the circular shape, but the chassis design is new, and there are no longer 4 air intakes like today. Blade style two-tone rims.
Xpander started with the concept version XM also debuted at GIIAS 2016 exhibition before the production version appeared at this event in 2017. Some small upgrades in design and equipment were made by the Japanese company for the car. MPV in early 2020.
In Vietnam, Xpander is priced at VND 555-630 million, while Xpander Cross has a suggested price of VND 670 million. Opponents of Xpander are Toyota Innova and Suzuki XL7.
