“VinFast is planning to bring its all-electric SUVs to the US next year, and we want to make sure they choose California as their US headquarters,” said CalCompetes Vice President Scott Dosick. .
This stimulus package is part of the California-wide economic stimulus program, after the stimulus package was launched, it is expected to bring more than $ 1.2 billion in investment money to the state over the next 5 years.
In addition to VinFast, a few other companies also received this stimulus package, such as Infinity Energy, a company specializing in clean energy solutions.
As planned, VinFast will officially launch a global electric vehicle brand and introduce two electric car models VF e35 and VF e36 at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2021 on November 19-28.
Many domestic experts believe that VinFast chooses California as its headquarters because this is a city that promotes the use of electric vehicles and self-driving technologies.
In Vietnam, in early October, the Vietnamese automaker also launched its first electric car model and also the first electric car model in Vietnam VF e34. Vehicles will be delivered to customers in late November.
