The rear lights are arranged horizontally and connected through an LED strip, quite similar to the shape of VinFast Lux. The sports diffuser comes with a hidden exhaust. The “EcoBoost 245” logo on the trunk lid hints at a 235-hp 2.0-liter petrol engine that could be paired with the same eight-speed automatic transmission as the Evos.

The new generation Mondeo is 4,935 mm long, 15 mm longer than the Evos and 66 mm longer than the previous generation. The American car news site predicts that Mondeo 2022 will inherit the 43-inch screen like the Evos, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 27-inch infotainment screen with Ford’s SYNC + 2.0.

The appearance of the new generation Mondeo is sportier, the bonnet is embossed with veins, large wheels with 19-inch rims, the sides are decorated with panels.

From 2020, Ford abandons most of its vehicle line to focus on crossovers and SUVs, the new Mondeo will only be sold in China.

As planned, the new generation Ford Mondeo will be sold from the second quarter of 2022, a car manufactured by a joint venture between Ford and Changan, a company in Chongqing, China.
