Recently at the Tokyo Auto Salon exhibition, Honda introduced the Honda HR-V e:HEV Modulo X Concept concept. According to the plan, this concept model will be officially launched and open for commercial sale by the end of this year.
The Honda HR-V e:HEV Modulo X Concept has a striking metallic red Premium Crystal Red Metallic. Besides, in this version, the rival of Toyota Corolla Cross is also slightly tweaked in exterior design to make a difference compared to the regular HR-V version.
The most obvious change on the Honda HR-V e:HEV Modulo X Concept is the grille with a unique beak shape. Not to mention, the grille cluster on the new Honda HR-V e:HEV also has a prominent glossy black paint and air intakes that extend to the bottom of the headlights. In addition, in this new version, the Honda HR-V 2022 also has a new front bumper with a sportier design.
On the body side, the Japanese automaker has added some chrome-plated details with 18-inch alloy wheels and mirror caps and badges painted in black. In addition, the Toyota Corolla Cross rival also has a completely new rear bumper and a modern spoiler.
In addition to the exterior changes, the Honda HR-V e:HEV Modulo X Concept retains the same design and interior equipment as the current version. However, the seats on the new version of the Honda HR-V 2022 have red stitching and a sportier design. Accompanying that is a new gearshift lever and a Modulo X branded engine start button.
Honda HR-V e:HEV Modulo X Concept version will still use the same hybrid powertrain as the current version. Accordingly, Toyota Corolla Cross’s opponent will use a 4-cylinder Atkinson petrol engine, DOHC i-VTEC 1.5 liter combined with an electric motor driving the rear wheels, CV-T continuously variable transmission. The total capacity of the Honda HR-V e:HEV Modulo X Concept is 131 hp and 251 Nm of torque.
