In a new announcement issued by the Inter-Ministry of Finance – Industry and Trade, the price of gasoline in the domestic market during this operating cycle rose sharply. Specifically, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline rose 2,908 VND, RON 95 rose 2,990 VND, kerosene rose 3,940 VND/liter, diesel rose 3,950 VND/liter and fuel oil rose 2,520 VND/kg.
After adjusting the price, the maximum selling price for E5 RON 92 gasoline is 28,985 VND/liter, RON 95 gasoline 29,824 VND/liter, kerosene 23,910 VND/liter, diesel 25,260 VND/liter and fuel oil 20,980 VND/kg.
Thus, this is the 7th consecutive increase and the 6th increase in the first 2 months of 2022. It is also the strongest increase in the price of petroleum products ever.
Also in this price adjustment cycle, the Ministry of Finance – Industry and Trade cut the stabilization fund with fuel oil of 300 VND/kg. Meanwhile, inter-ministerial spending for stabilization funds for E5 RON 92 gasoline is 750 VND/liter, RON 95 is 1,000 VND/liter, and diesel is 1,500 VND/liter.
Previously, in the price management cycle on March 1, every liter of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased VND 547; RON 95 rose 554 VND, kerosene rose 470 VND, diesel oil rose 510 VND and fuel oil rose 530 VND/kg.
Simultaneously, the Ministry of Finance – Industry and Trade stopped cutting the Price Stabilization Fund for gasoline, diesel and kerosene products. Specifically for fuel oil, the amount deducted into the fund is 300 VND/kg. The expenditure of the price stabilization fund with gasoline RON 96 is 220 VND/liter, gasoline RON92 E5, diesel, kerosene and mazut is 250 VND, 300 VND and 0 VND.
Faced with the recent continuous increase in gasoline prices, yesterday, the Ministry of Finance studied and developed a project on the Resolution of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on environmental protection tax rates for gasoline, oil, grease in order, shortening procedures.
Therefore, it is proposed to reduce the environmental protection tax rate for gasoline to 2,000 VND/liter; diesel, fuel oil, lubricating oil is 1,000 VND/liter; fat is 1000 VND/kg; kerosene is 700 VND/liter. At the same time, the Ministry of Finance proposed that the resolution be effective from April 1, 2022 until the end of December 31, 2022.
