However, according to the Axios (US) news agency, a number of high-ranking Ukrainian and Israeli officials denied this information in a Jerusalem Post post.

In particular, Axios said a high-ranking official in Prime Minister Bennett’s office was quick to deny the reports, saying that the Israeli prime minister “had no intention of making any recommendations or suggestions to Mr. Bennett. [của cuộc xung đột]”.

On March 12, the adviser to the Ukrainian government, Mykhailo Podolyak, also denied that Zelensky accepted this suggestion.

Israel has acted as a mediator during the ongoing military conflict in Ukraine. Russia has demanded that Ukraine declare itself neutral and vowed never to join the US-led NATO military alliance. On March 11, President Putin announced that there had been “some positive progress” in talks between Russian and Ukrainian negotiators, but did not elaborate on these developments.

President Zelensky is ready to negotiate with Russia

According to RT, during a press conference with foreign media on March 12, President Zelensky once again reiterated that he is ready to negotiate with Russia, and asked the Israeli Prime Minister to lead the peace talks in Jerusalem. .

“The two Russian-Ukrainian delegations are actually discussing, not just issuing an ultimatum,” Zelensky said.

According to Zelensky, Kiev believes that any high-level talks with Russia should be held on neutral territory, with Israel as a potential venue.

However, President Zelensky said that if negotiations are successful, his country will need some “security guarantees” for the ongoing conflict to be resolved not only from Russia’s point of view but also from Russia’s point of view. He suggested that Israel could act as guarantor of these conditions.
