Once mocked by Apple, cheap Samsung phones come here that can be sold without a charger, users are fed up with being ‘poor and still on their feet’

According to Sammobile, several European retailers have said that Samsung’s new low-cost model will only have a charging cable. This list includes the new Galaxy A13 and Galaxy A23 that launched this week. The other two upcoming products, the M23 and M33, will also not have a charger, but just a cable in the box.

Apple is considered a company that started the trend of selling smartphones without a charger from the iPhone 12 generation. Samsung then posted “coffee” posts on its social networks. Samsung wrote: “Galaxy will give you what you’ve been waiting for. Not only with chargers, we give users the best camera, powerful performance and of course a 120Hz screen.” Accompanying this post is an image of a Samsung charger with the text “Bundled with your Samsung Galaxy”.

Every Apple, cheap Samsung phone that comes here is probably sold without a charger, the user is tired of being poor and still has a waist - Photo 1.

The post had made netizens laugh when Samsung then removed the charger like Apple.

However, not long after, Samsung quietly deleted this post when the Galaxy S21 was no longer supplied with a charger in the box. This isn’t the first time Samsung has removed posts mocking its competitors. Previously when the Galaxy Note10 was launched without a headphone jack, Samsung also deleted posts mocking the iPhone X.

Samsung’s recently launched high-end devices don’t come with chargers and headphones, including the Galaxy Z Fold3, Z Flip3, Galaxy S21 FE or Galaxy S22 Series. Even the tablet model Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra doesn’t have the charger included in the box. This is really a big problem for users of Samsung tablet models, especially when they all have huge battery capacities. Apple once cut chargers out of the iPhone box, but still keeps chargers for iPad users.

It seems that Samsung has only abandoned chargers in high-end devices, but now, the Korean manufacturer intends to release chargers in more affordable phone models.

Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed this yet but it’s not hard to understand that this could be true. The removal of the charger on a mid-range phone may be met with many mixed opinions from users. Not only that, when Samsung decides to take a charger out of the box for a low-cost model, this effect can completely spread to other brands.

The change will cause inconvenience to more users when they decide to switch from other phones to Samsung phones. Samsung is a leading manufacturer in the world and this can greatly affect the user experience, especially those who are buying a smartphone for the first time.

Of course, if anyone wanted to use a Samsung charger, they would have to spend their own money to buy it. And this will allow the company to increase margins on low-margin phones.

The decision to leave the charger and headphones in the box is one of the controversial decisions of Apple and Samsung. Apple claims this will help protect the environment, use fewer scarce materials, increase transportability and reduce carbon emissions. The two tech giants also think that nowadays most users have a charger available and the equipment that comes with the device will result in a huge waste.

Xiaomi then also “learn” with the generation of high-end phones. However, the Chinese manufacturer has a ‘win-win’ step when it is still willing to give it away for free to users who really need the charger. They can choose between a paid version and a non-paid version at no extra cost.
