Two flights in one day bring 600 Vietnamese evacuated from Ukraine back to their homeland

Vietnamese ministries, agencies and institutions organized two flights to bring nearly 600 Vietnamese and their families evacuated from Ukraine to Poland and Romania back home.

Two flights were carried out on 13 March 2022. These are the first two flights to be deployed, funded by Sun Group and coordinated with Vietnam Airlines under a contract signed on 10 March 2022 after approval by the Government.

In particular, flight VN58 carrying 288 people from Warsaw (Poland) landed at Noi Bai airport at 09:30. On the flight there were 63 children under 18 years old and 51 elderly people.

The second flight VN68 carrying 291 people from Bucharest (Romania), landed at Noi Bai airport at 11:00. On the flight there were 15 children under 2 years old, 60 children under 12 years old, 19 elderly people, 12 pregnant women and sick people.

The Vietnamese embassies in Poland and Romania have coordinated with the Vietnamese association to bring people to the airport, sent staff to assist with necessary procedures and cooperated with local authorities to create favorable conditions, favorable conditions for them to return home.

By 16:00 on March 12, Vietnamese representatives had welcomed more than 4,500 refugees from Ukraine to neighboring countries.

In particular, about 950 people in Romania, including 287 people were brought home on the flight on March 7.

291 people were brought home on the flight on March 12 and there are more than 300 people who have registered to go home.

About 2,800 people in Poland, 300 of whom were brought home on flights on March 9, 288 people were brought back on flights on March 12, and currently 200 people have registered to return home.

660 people in Hungary, almost 130 people in Slovakia, more than 40 people in Russia.

Representative agents also proactively and promptly coordinate with local authorities and local Vietnamese associations to pick up and arrange transportation, temporary accommodation and necessary necessities for you.

Agencies and associations also receive documents and deal with issues with documents so that people can quickly complete the necessary procedures for repatriation on the next flight.
