After Grab, Gojek’s Turn to Announce Rise in Prices for Ojeks and Delivery Services
Gojek Vietnam has just announced the adjustment of service fees starting March 14. The price increases are GoRide (2-wheel passenger transportation) and GoFood (food delivery), while the other two services, GoCar and GoSend delivery, remain the same.
Starting at 0:00 on March 14, fees for the two GoRide and GoFood services will be adjusted in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

In Hanoi, the minimum fare for GoRide trips was increased to 13,000 VND and increased by 700 – 1,600 VND for each subsequent kilometer for journeys from 2 to 4 km. Vehicles over 4km have an additional increase of 200 – 1,200 VND for each subsequent kilometer.
The minimum price for GoFood food delivery services in Hanoi also increased by 1,000 VND, from 15,000 VND to 16,000 VND.

In addition, the minimum fare for the first 2 km of motorcycle taxi services in Ho Chi Minh City was adjusted to VND 11,000 – 13,000 and increased from VND 500 – 900 for each subsequent kilometer. The minimum price for GoFood services increased by 1,000 VND compared to before.
Sharing on the website, Gojek said: Gojek fares are calculated based on providing the best quality of service to users, and at the same time ensuring Gojek driver-partners receive a decent income for the time and effort spent. Gojek will continue to monitor market developments and make adjustments to offer reasonable and competitive freight rates.
Prior to Gojek, Grab also announced that it would start adjusting the prices of all services starting March 10. Thus, with the GrabCar car service, the minimum fare for the first 2 km is 29,000 VND/km, the next kilometer is 10,000 VND/km. The GrabBike service is customized in Ho Chi Minh City with the minimum price for the first 2 km is 12,500 VND, in Hanoi it is 13,500 VND. The fare for the next kilometer is 4,300 VND/km.
In addition, the super-fast GrabExpress delivery service in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and 19 other provinces has also been adjusted to VND 16,000 for the first 2 km and VND 5,500 for the next kilometer.
The company says that the fare adjustment will help offset some of the driver-partners’ operating costs so they have more income opportunities, and at the same time encourage partners to be active and serve users well.
