According to a source from the German government, they have decided to replace the aging Tornado fighters with advanced stealth aircraft F-35.
RT news agency, citing German media sources today (March 14), said that Berlin plans to buy 35 US-made aircraft and 15 Eurofighter Typhoon fighters. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced late last month that he would increase the defense budget by 100 billion euros. At the same time, Mr. Scholz also revealed that the country could buy F-35 aircraft to replace the old Tornado fighters.
