Growing chilies is not just pouring water, add a handful of this to hot and spicy chili “tearing the tongue”

If you intend to grow certain spices at home, give the pepper plant the highest priority. Simply because apart from being used in food, chili plants themselves are relatively easy to grow compared to other spices. However, for chili cultivation to really bring good results: the tree bears a lot of fruit, the fruit is large, and has the desired spicy taste, it is necessary to learn a lot about how to grow it.

1. The right time to plant chili

Ornamental plants can be grown all year round. But when the tree grows well, with few pests and diseases, it is sown from August to September and planted in September and October. After about 1 to 2 months of planting, i.e. from December to January, harvesting begins. Harvesting can last until April-May next year.

2. Prepare the land for planting

Unlike planting aloe vera or cucumber, the soil planted with chili has different types such as sandy soil, clay soil or alluvial soil along rivers. Maybe even rice fields. Because chili plants can adapt to various conditions, as long as the soil is loose, airy, and rich in nutrients.

When you first get land, it’s best not to use the land to plant trees, but to clear weeds and add water to keep the soil moist and easy to exchange oxygen.

3. Fertilization

Fertilizer

In order for chili plants to grow well, they must be fertilized properly, only with the provision of sufficient fertilizer chili plants can grow well. Common basic fertilizers mainly include: chicken manure, cow manure, plant ashes,… When planting peppers, you can put this fertilizer in the pot first, then add the soil.

Dress up

After placing the base fertilizer, do not neglect the top application. In addition to innate advantages, there is also a need for effort in the future, and fertilization is the most necessary thing for future efforts.

The main fertilizers are: organic fertilizer, rice water, cracked egg shells… Regular “fertilization” for chili plants can increase chili production. In general, the best time for fertilizing is the flowering period of peppers. During this period, if fertilization is sufficient, it can ensure a high yield of chili plants.

4. Watering

You should water once a day if the soil is well drained or the weather is dry. As for moist soil, you should water it every 2 days. Above all, you need to monitor the tree regularly to understand the situation. From there, you can increase or decrease the amount of water as appropriate.

To keep the soil moist and not lose nutrients, you should add straw or hay at the base of the tree. You should also regularly pull weeds, catch worms, dig the soil around the roots to make the soil loose and fertilize on average once a month.
