Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health proposes to buy free drug Molnupiravir for F0 to treat at home

According to the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City, currently, the situation of COVID-19 epidemic in the city is showing signs of outbreak again, the number of patients treated at home has increased demand for the drug Molnupiravir. In order for patients to quickly access the drug Molnupiravir, reduce the rate of serious illness and death, the Department of Health has written a proposal to the Ministry of Health on the policy of providing Molnupiravir for COVID-19 patients isolated at home. While waiting for the response from the Ministry of Health, the Department of Health suggested that the City People’s Committee consider buying Molnupiravir drug so that the local health stations continue to provide free treatment for F0 at home.

Also according to the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City, Molnupiravir is distributed free of charge at medical facilities. When it is assessed that F0 is in the group that needs to use antiviral drugs, the doctor will prescribe and distribute the medicine. Currently, the Ministry of Health has granted circulation registration certificates in Vietnam for three domestically produced Molnupiravir drugs of Mekophar Chemical and Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, Stellapharm Joint Venture Company Limited and Boston Vietnam Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company. .
