However, in the opposite direction, quite a few “picky” car models continued to have meager sales, in which the Toyota brand accounted for the majority.

1. Toyota Avanza: 1 car

In February 2022, Toyota Avanza continued to maintain sales of only 1 car sold to the market like January. Accumulated from the beginning of the year, this mini MPV sold 18 cars, 2 less than the same period last year. last year (sold 20 cars).

Observers say that the decline of Toyota Avanza may be coming to an end when the Toyota Veloz model is sold as a replacement. In fact, from 2018 to now, Toyota Avanza can be considered a failed product of the Japanese automaker in Vietnam when sales are often meager and far behind rivals like Mitsubishi Xpander or Suzuki Ertiga.

2. Toyota Granvia: 1 car

As usual, Toyota Granvia often appears in the list of empty cars because this is a rather picky car model due to its expensive price, imported directly from Japan. Currently, the selling price of the car with a single version is 3,072 billion VND.

In February, Toyota Granvia sold only 1 car, accumulated in the first 2 months of the year, selling a total of 4 cars. Compared to the same period last year, this high-end MPV sold 2 more cars.

Being the newest member to join the high-end MPV family in Vietnam since June for 3,072 billion VND. The Granvia 2020 model with 9-seat configuration imported from Japan and listed at VND 3,072 billion, is considered a “more economical” MPV than its “brother” Alphard, not only in terms of price but also poor equipment. than.

3. Toyota Alphard: 7 cars

Toyota’s second high-end MPV with sales in February falling in the top of empty cars is Toyota Alphard. In the month of Tet, Toyota Alphard sold 7 cars, 3 less than the previous January. Cumulative for the whole year, Toyota Alphard sold 17 cars, 7 more cars than the same period last year.

Toyota Vietnam currently sells Alphard version 2021 with 2 options: white for VND 4,227 billion and the remaining colors for VND 4,219 billion.

4. Honda Accord: 7 cars

Honda Accord continues to be on the list of empty cars but dropped from 8th position in January to 4th in February. Last month, this D-size sedan sold 7 cars, down 26 cars compared to January (sold). 33 cars). Accumulated from the beginning of the year, Honda Accord sold 40 cars, an increase of 17 cars over the same period last year (23 cars sold).

Honda Accord is still only sold in 1 version in Vietnam, but there are 2 price options according to color, including white priced at 1,329 billion VND and the remaining colors priced at 1,319 billion VND.

5. Isuzu mu-X: 12 cars

Isuzu mu-X 7-seater SUV sold 12 vehicles in February, down 14 units compared to January (26 units sold). Accumulated after 2 months, Isuzu mu-X sold 38 cars, down 28 cars compared to the same period last year (sold 66 cars).

In Vietnam, Isuzu mu-X continues to maintain 4 versions, with prices ranging from 779 million to 1.12 billion dong. Currently, the upgraded version has been launched in Thailand from 2021 but there are no plans to sell it in Vietnam.

6. Ford Tourneo: 12 cars

Ford Tourneo sold 12 vehicles in February, an increase of 2 vehicles compared to January. Cumulatively from the beginning of the year, Ford Tourneo sold 22 vehicles, an increase of 8 vehicles over the same period last year (14 vehicles sold).

Ford Tourneo currently sells 2 Titanium and Trend versions with a choice of 5 colors including: white, brown, black, silver and gray. The selling price is 999 million VND for the Trend version and 1,069 billion VND for the Titanium version (including VAT).

7. Toyota Rush: 14 cars

In February, Toyota Rush sold 14 cars, a serious decrease compared to the previous January (sold 450 cars). Accumulating 2 months, Toyota Rush sold a total of 464 cars, down to 281 cars compared to the same period last year (183 cars sold).

Car price Toyota Rush is currently listed at VND 634 million for a single version. This is considered a direct competitor of Mitsubishi Xpander, hybrid products between MPV – SUV and the same 5 + 2 configuration.

8. Toyota Prado: 23 cars

The Toyota Land Prado SUV had 11 units sold in February compared to January (34 units sold). Accumulating 2 months, Prado sold 57 cars, down 18 cars compared to the same period last year (75 cars sold).

The Toyota Land Prado SUV is currently being sold in only one version with a price of 2,379 billion VND.

9. Toyota Corolla Altis: 28 cars

Before the launch of the new generation, Toyota Corolla Altis sales dropped sharply, possibly because the number of cars in stock was not much. However, in fact, in 2021, sales of this C-sized sedan are not high, not reaching 2,000 vehicles.

In February, Corolla Altis sold 28 cars, down 209 cars compared to January (237 cars sold). Accumulated from the beginning of the year, Corolla Altis sold 256 cars, an increase of 43 cars compared to the same period last year (213 cars sold).

In the old generation, Toyota Corolla Altis has 3 versions equipped with 1.8L engine, priced from 741 million to 771 million.

10. Toyota Yaris: 49 cars

At the bottom of the table is the Toyota Yaris. Toyota Yaris continued to decrease sales and reached the top of the best-selling car in the market. By the end of February 2022, this model has 49 cars sold on the market, 45 cars lower than last month (94 cars sold). Accumulated from the beginning of the year, Toyota Yaris sold 143 cars, down 70 cars compared to the same period last year (213 cars sold).

Toyota Yaris currently sells only one version in Vietnam for 668 million VND.
