6 signs children need to go to the hospital after recovering from Covid-19

“Handbook for taking care of children with Covid-19 at home” compiled by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association in collaboration with the Center for Tropical Diseases, the National Children’s Hospital, consists of 5 sections. These are: Prepare when treating children with Covid-19 at home; Instructions for daily care and monitoring of children with Covid-19; Guidelines for medication treatment for children with Covid-19; Abnormal signs, critical signs and Complications monitoring post-Covid-19.

In the section Monitoring post-Covid-19 complications, the document lists 6 signs that a child needs to be taken to a health facility after recovering from illness, including:

– Continuous high fever

– Erythema or corneal congestion

– Swelling of the oral mucosa, hands and feet

– Vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea

– lethargy, lethargy, convulsions

– Less urine, leg edema, eyelid edema
