AIA Vietnam and VPBank extend the cooperation period to 19 years
Previously, the old agreement between AIA Vietnam and VPBank was signed in October 2017.
VPBank and AIA Vietnam are both among the leading financial institutions in the banking and life insurance sectors. Since the cooperation agreement on exclusive insurance distribution was first signed in 2017, VPBank has always been in the group of banks with the highest sales of life insurance and is currently ranked 3rd in the entire market. Up to now, AIA insurance distribution has been deployed in more than 250 branches of the bank.
VPBank is currently the leading bank in the Vietnamese market in the consumer finance and individual customer segments. Meanwhile, AIA is the largest publicly listed independent life insurance group in Asia.
By the end of 2021, VPBank’s total assets reached nearly 548 trillion dong, up 30.7% compared to 2020. Consolidated credit balance reached more than 384 trillion dong, up 18.9%. Deposits from customers and valuable papers increased by 9.1% compared to 2020 and reached more than VND 323 trillion. Total operating income reached more than VND 44,301 billion, up 13.5% over the same period last year.
