BMW X1 prepares for the biggest makeover inside and out this year

The current generation of BMW X1 is the oldest SUV available on the current market of the Bavarian brand when it was launched in 2015. With the Mini chassis and the age of 7 years, it is not surprising. when the car has disappeared from the limelight even with the complementary facelift version launched in 2019.

According to BMW, the third generation of the X1 will launch this year, closely following the company’s usual 7-year life cycle. The small SUV has also appeared for public test runs for the past time with the camouflage layer becoming less and less showing that we do not have to wait too long to welcome the new generation of X1.

The car’s exterior, based on the above exposures, has been completely redesigned by Motor1. One of the biggest differences of the BMW X1 compared to the above SUVs is the rather small heatsink placed next to the larger, sharper headlights than before. Both the front and rear bumpers will see changes but in general BMW’s approach to the new X1 will tend to be safer than controversial as it has been lately.

The 3rd generation of BMW X1 is also expected to change the chassis and thus bring a significantly larger size in all 3 segments long, wide and high (currently 4,439 x 1,821 x 1,612 mm).

The interior of the BMW X1 2022, in contrast, will be 100% new with a larger screen, convenient storage space in the center console and trendy software.

Finally, the majority of engine options on the BMW X1 2022 will use plug-in hybrid technology along with at least one plug-in hybrid.
