China tightened the blockade, controlling the spreading and fast epidemic

The city of Shenzhen with 17 million people, China’s top economic hub, was locked down. The centers specializing in exporting goods to around the world such as Zhejiang, Jiangsu, and Tianjin… all appeared epidemics. Goods exported around the world were severely affected, and it was difficult to avoid high prices. At least 10 cities and counties in China are locked down to varying degrees. At the Jilin epidemic center, many field hospitals with thousands of beds were urgently built.
The latest outbreaks sweeping through mainland China and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (China) are largely due to the fast-spreading sub-variant BA.2 (“stealth Omicron”). The Chinese authorities emphasized that the goal of no infection in the community must be achieved to protect the overwhelmed health system and avoid an increase in the number of deaths.
More sustainable response strategies are proposed such as providing home testing kits, antiviral drugs. Compared to the first outbreak in Wuhan city, this time the scale of the epidemic is widespread, the speed of spread is fast because of the Omicron mutation.
