The new draft was released when the shares of many Chinese gaming and livestreaming corporations were sliding sharply on the Hong Kong (China) exchange. On March 14, Tencent shares fell 10%, NetEase fell 8%, Bilibili fell 19% while Kuaishou Technology shares fell 13%.

Besides software companies, manufacturing companies smartphonetablets and computers will also have to have child protection software installed before the products are put on the market, or at least have installation instructions that are clear and easy to understand for younger users.
