Discovering a new theory to decipher the “mystery” of the Stonehenge stone circle

Recently, a study by Timothy Darvill – professor of archeology at Bournemouth University, UK has given another theory about the mystery behind the existence of Stonehenge ruins. This professor thinks that this is a work created with the role of calculating the day, month, and year and he can determine its working mechanism.

The monument is composed of two main types of rock: a large rock and a smaller rock from Wales. 30 large stone pillars form a circle, supported by 30 horizontal ropes representing 30 days in a month. Twelve such months would make up 360 days in a year. However, a structure called “trilithons” consisting of two large rocks supporting the third rock above the monument represents 5 days, plus the 360 days above make 365 days in a year. calendar. The four smaller stones that lie outside the circle in a rectangular shape are the method for keeping track of leap years, which add an extra day every four years.

“Finding a link between the solar calendar and the architecture of Stonehenge opens up a new avenue to prove that Stonehenge is a place to live,” said Darvill. However, other experts are not convinced by Darvill’s argument, saying that his argument is somewhat forced, trying to make clues and numbers make sense.
