Motorcycles going in the opposite direction hurt cars

A clip from a security camera at Dinh Tram overpass, Viet Yen, Bac Giang on the afternoon of March 12 is spreading on social networks, attracting the attention of the online community.

According to the clip, at 6:04 pm, when cars and motorbikes were circulating through the tunnel under Dinh Tram overpass, they suddenly met a woman driving a motorbike going in the opposite direction.

The female driver was very reckless when going in the opposite direction to the middle of the two lanes, turning on the right turn signal, carelessly causing many vehicles to not understand the motorbike’s intention to go. The truck had to come to a complete stop to make way for the female driver, but the car behind could not see it and rammed straight into the rear of the truck.

Too frustrated with the paradoxical way of the female motorbike driver, the man sitting in the passenger seat of the truck had to open the door to talk, but the motorcyclist after witnessing the consequences caused by himself out, he drove a “high run away” car on his opposite road, leaving the scene of the collision between two cars as if he were not involved.

The act of going in the opposite direction of the female motorbike driver made netizens angry, many of whom could not help but let out sarcastic words:

“I don’t understand how the ladies always ask to the right, then turn the wheel and then turn left. This is also going in the opposite direction, causing an accident for other vehicles”;

“It’s not because of me? Why don’t the cars keep the speed, keep the distance from each other, but the motorbikes have been turning signals for a long time, going very slowly”;

“Even though it’s not yet April 1, she still wants to trick the drivers by turning right but turning left and then going straight to lose her mother’s eel”;

“Howling, poor motorbike, two cars must compensate for the spirit of the motorbike”;

“This place is Dinh Tram overpass. I often pass here, but I find it really difficult to cross the road because there are many cars in traffic and many times I see cars in the opposite direction”;

“A lot of people jokingly go in the opposite direction. In the section of Thuong Tin Phu Xuyen, they also go crazy. I swear, I can’t hold back when I meet people like this. I made a mistake and hurt others.” ;

Clause 5, Article 6 of Decree No. 100/2019/ND-CP stipulates that the administrative penalty for motorcycles going in the opposite direction is a fine of between VND 1,000,000 and 2,000,000. This fine applies to acts of going in the opposite direction on a road with a “prohibited from going in the opposite direction” sign or going in the opposite direction of a one-way street.
