Prime Ministers of Poland, Czech and Slovenia come to Ukraine to meet Mr. Zelensky in person

Mr. Morawiecki and his counterparts from the Czech Republic and Slovenia will arrive Ukraine to meet President Volodomyr Zelenskiy.

Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said in a tweet that the three leaders will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal.

“The purpose of the visit is to express the European Union’s clear support for Ukraine and its freedom and independence,” Fiala said.

“At the same time, we will offer a large package of support to Ukraine and its citizens during the visit. The international community has also been informed of the visit by international organizations, including the United Nations. this.”

The trip was organized “with the consent of” the head of the European Council Charles Michel and the president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the statement added.

The visit comes as Russia continues to besiege Kyiv. Russia and Ukraine are also preparing to resume talks to end the nearly three-week war.

Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic are all members of NATO.

Russian forces are now intensifying their attacks on several suburbs of Kyiv.
