Defining digital transformation is a big and breakthrough task of the industry, but there will also be many difficulties and challenges, so many immediate and long-term solutions have been proposed by the members of the Steering Committee. . Concluding the meeting, Minister Nguyen Kim Son – Head of the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation of the Ministry of Education and Training emphasized the meaning and importance of strengthening information technology, promoting digital transformation in education; At the same time, he affirmed that this is a big, difficult, complicated job with many challenges, but it is a must-do and if it can be done, the spillover will be huge.

In order to carry out the task of educational digital transformation appropriately and effectively, the Minister noted a number of issues such as: compatibility with national digital transformation; the decentralization with localities in task implementation; the calculation and selection of priority tasks to perform so that there is focus, focus, to both ensure the long-term but also contribute to the immediate resolution of some immediate problems facing the industry. ; the change in thinking, awareness, and institutions to match the requirements of the transition process…

Inheritance and sustainability for the future are also goals according to the Minister to be achieved when implementing digital transformation in education. Paying special attention to the decisive role of each unit, department, and department, the Minister requested to soon issue the Working Regulations of the Steering Committee, at the same time, to clearly assign and assign tasks to promote all responsibilities of each member of the Steering Committee, each unit in the performance of tasks.

Previously, on December 30, 2021, the Minister of Education and Training signed Decision No. 4977/QD-BGDĐT on the establishment of a Steering Committee for digital transformation of the Ministry of Education and Training. The Steering Committee consists of 29 members headed by Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son. The Steering Committee has the function of researching, advising and assisting the Minister in directing the implementation of guidelines, strategies, mechanisms and policies to create a legal environment to promote the process of digital transformation in education and training. closely associated with administrative reform, development of e-government and digital government; contribute to creating favorable conditions for the fundamental and comprehensive reform of education and training.

The project “Strengthening the application of information technology and digital transformation in e-education in the period of 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030” was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 131/QD-TTg dated January 25th/ By 2022, the goal by 2025 is: Strongly renovating the method of educational organization, making teaching and learning in the digital environment an essential, everyday educational activity for every teacher and every learner. Striving for 50% of students, each student and each teacher to be eligible (in terms of means, transmission lines, software) to effectively participate in online teaching and learning activities.

The project also defines the target that by 2025: 100% of educational institutions will apply the school administration system based on data and digital technology; in which: 100% of learners, 100% of teachers are managed by digital records with nationally consistent identifiers; 80% of facilities, equipment and other resources for education, training and research are managed by digital records.
