The first students graduated from the aviation department at Hanoi University of Science and Technology

The Faculty of Aeronautics at USTH was established in 2018 in partnership with Airbus, the French National School of Civil Aviation (Ecole Nationale de l’Aviation Civile – ENAC) and the French Institute of Aeronautics and Space (Institut Aéronautique et Spatial). – IAS), currently a member of the Aerospace Valley organization in France. The Faculty was established with the aim of training high-quality human resources in the field of maintenance engineering and operation engineering.

In addition to funding the project, Airbus also develops two training programs of the Faculty of Aeronautics including the Bachelor of Aeronautical Engineering and the Master of International Air Transport Administration, and is still coordinating the implementation for the project. until USTH has full autonomy expected in 2024. Currently, more than 120 students are enrolled in these two programs here.

Airbus has a strong presence in Vietnam, where the A320 family is the mainstay of its single-aisle fleet and is being operated by Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Bamboo Airways, Vietravel Airlines and Pacific Airlines.

In the wide-body market, Vietnam Airlines is the leading operator of the new generation of long-range A350 aircraft, while Vietjet recently started operating the A330.
