Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki arrived in Kiev with his Czech counterpart Petr Fiala and Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa. Mr. Mateusz Morawiecki said: “Our duty is to be where history is forged. Because it’s not about us, it’s about the future of our children, who deserve to live in a world that’s right for us. world without violence”.

Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said the aim of their trip was to confirm the EU’s unequivocal support for Ukraine’s independence and sovereignty.

The three leaders will travel to the city being bombed, where half of its 3.4 million people have been evacuated and many have taken shelter in subway stations.

Michal Dwoczyk, a top adviser to Mr. Morawiecki, said that the country’s delegation and Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa crossed the Polish-Ukrainian border by train at 8 am this morning, local time.

The Czech Republic and Poland and Slovenia are both members of NATO and the EU.

Today, talking to Nordic leaders via video online, Ukrainian President Zelensky said they can “help themselves by helping Ukraine”. He called for more weapons support to fight the Russian army.

According to this leader, the Ukrainian military is rapidly running out of weapons and equipment that Western countries have transferred to Ukraine. He called for the imposition of a complete trade embargo against Russia because the current sanctions are not enough to stop Moscow’s progress. The President of Ukraine repeatedly expressed frustration with NATO for refusing to implement a no-fly zone over Ukraine.
