Wife entered the hotel with her husband but never came out, the staff was afraid to turn pale when checking in

According to Times of India, the incident happened at Aristo Junction’s residence, Thiruvananthapuram city, Kerala state, India on March 5. That day, Ms. Gayathi (24) and her new husband, Praveen, rented a hotel room in the Aristo Junction residential area.

The couple stayed together in the room, until the evening of the same day, Praveen left alone. Seeing that Ms. Gayathi never came out, the hotel staff began to feel suspicious and worried. At midnight, Praveen called the hotel receptionist, informing that a girl had died in the room.

After receiving the call, the hotel staff immediately opened the door to check and found Ms. Gayathi’s body on the bed. Police quickly launched an investigation, relying on the phone number provided by the hotel to track Praveen’s mobile phone. The man was arrested by the police on the afternoon of March 6 while hiding in Paravur, Kollam, Kerala.

Working with the police, Praveen quickly confessed to the offence. He said the couple had an argument while at the hotel. In anger, Praveen strangled Ms. Gayathi to death.

Police found some wedding photos of him and Ms Gayathi in Praveen’s phone. Before that, Ms. Gayathi also posted this series of wedding photos online. However, police discovered that Praveen was in fact married to another woman in Paravur and had two children. Ms. Gayathi may have known about the matter, which is why the two quarreled.

It is known that Ms. Gayathi ran away from home 3 days before the incident. Her family was completely unaware of their daughter’s wedding, only alerted the police after seeing her post wedding photos on social media.

Praveen and the victim were both employees of a jewelry store in the city of Thiruvananthapuram. Praveen’s wife had long suspected the couple’s relationship and complained to the store manager, which led him to be transferred to a branch in the state of Tamil Nadu.

Ms. Gayathi has now resigned from her job and continues to have an affair with Praveen, while he and his wife have been living apart for the past few months. The incident is still being investigated by the local police.
