40,000 elderly Vietnamese people have received a meaningful gift from Kingsport
As an annual activity organized by Kingsport (Indochina Group) brand from 2019 to now, the program “Journey of Mercy” sets a goal in 10 years to donate one million blood pressure monitors. to one million elderly people across the country. This idea was proposed by businessman Le Truong Manh, CEO of Indochina Group. Having witnessed with his own eyes the joy of his parents when the family collected a small amount of money to replace the traditional mechanical sphygmomanometer with an electronic sphygmomanometer, Mr. Le Truong Manh deeply understands the value of this small gift for the elderly with underlying medical conditions. Experiencing a poor childhood, he was always taught by his father about sharing. The lessons and experiences accumulated throughout his life make businessman Le Truong Manh always keep in mind that Kingsport’s business philosophy must go hand in hand with the spirit of compassion. “The program was born with the purpose of creating sustainable values for the community, the first sustainability is the health of each person in society”, Mr. Le Truong Manh shared during the announcement ceremony of “The charity journey 2022”.
In just a short period of time from January 15, 2022 until now, “Journey of Mercy 2022” has donated 40,000 blood pressure monitors to 20 localities across the country (Hanoi 7,500, Ho Chi Minh City 10,000) machines, Thanh Hoa 5,000 machines, Da Nang 1,000 machines, Buon Me Thuot 2,000 machines, Gia Lai 2,000 machines, Dong Nai 1,000 machines…). It is known that in 2023, Kingsport will increase this number to 80,000 machines to further raise awareness among the people about community health care and improve quality of life.
