Minister Phuc also said that the ministry has directed the General Department of Taxation to proactively build an electronic portal on cross-border tax declaration and the social network environment. On March 21, this portal will officially open.
“From March 21, overseas businesses when selling goods across the border will directly declare tax at this gate and pay tax at the same time,” Phuc said.
According to Mr. Phuc, the Ministry of Finance also connects the tax database with the national population database of the Ministry of Public Security to get the residential identifier as the tax identifier. Since then, online purchases are checked very quickly and accurately. In addition, it will also remove virtual codes and virtual accounts on the stock market.
In addition, in the coming time, taxpayers can also pay taxes on mobile applications, instead of going to the tax office.
Tax rate on petrol price accounts for 33.5%
Regarding the petrol and oil tax, Minister Ho Duc Phuc said about the base price of gasoline, if the crude oil price is calculated at 130 USD/barrel of RON 92 gasoline, the base price of one liter of gasoline is 18,855 VND. import tax is 1,508 dong, excise tax is 2,036 dong, the standard shipping cost is 1,050 dong and profit is 300 dong, the stabilization fund is 300 dong, environment tax is 4,000 dong, tax VAT is 2,805 VND. Thus, when crude oil price is 130 USD/barrel, the base price is 30,800 VND/liter.
“The tax rate on petrol prices accounts for 33.5%. Thus, the tax reduction plan is only one solution among many synchronous solutions. When gasoline price is 130 USD/barrel, it will decrease by 2,000 VND/liter with gasoline, it is expected to reduce budget revenue by 31,938 billion VND. When crude oil prices rise, the economy is damaged,” the Finance Minister assessed.
