Another account that is believed to belong to female VTuber Uruha Rushia has brought in more than 7.8 thousand USD after just a livestream on Sunday. This data is collected by Playboard about the Superchat feature on Youtube.
During the stream that lasted more than an hour, the female streamer with a new account, Mikeneko, talked about the recent controversies related to Rushia being “dead” by Hololive.
According to Mikeneko, the reason she livestreams is because she doesn’t want people to forget about her. Even though she was hurt a lot by the malicious comments, she still wanted to talk and express her feelings. She wishes her viewers and fans not to “pour fuel on fire” in this drama. Mikeneko also expressed his desire to return to the VTuber world and stream under a different identity to start over.
Her stream has more than 80,000 viewers and 309 Superchat, bringing Mikeneko over 909, 290 Japanese yen (over 180 million VND). Her new YouTube channel also has more than 700,000 new subscribers, even though it was only created on February 22 and posted only 3 videos.
Mikeneko is said to be Rushia’s other account for several reasons. Singer Mafumafu revealed messages related to that account back in February, when he talked about his personal relationship with Rushia during a TwitCasting stream. She even joked under one viewer’s comment: “Who is Rushia?”
Uruha Rushia is a famous Vtuber under the management of Hololive. Cover Corporation, Holilive’s parent company, announced on February 24 that it will no longer work with Uruha Rushia because of her breach of contract. The company believes that this female VTuber has spread fake information to third parties, leaking company information, including business secrets. Because of the “cancel”, Rushia’s YouTube channel will be closed at the end of March. The company will also refund those who purchased Rushia birthday themed souvenirs.
