Male. After winning at Miss Southern Provinces in 1996, Swan set her mind to a bigger contest, which was Miss National Tien Phong 1996 (the predecessor of the Miss Vietnam contest). It was held for the first time in Vietnam. Thanks to her own experience, Nguyen Thien Nga was once again named in the highest position and became the only beauty of the country to be crowned “Miss Vietnam” twice.
When representing the country to attend “Miss Friendship of Asean – Miss Southeast Asian Friendship 1999”, the 7x beauty queen sympathized with judges and international friends by her confidence, manners, and skillful communication. . In 2001, while her name was at its peak, Swan suddenly gave up her art career and decided to study in the US. Ms. Hau studied economics at the prestigious San Jose University, pursuing an academic path like her family tradition. After that, she married a professor over 10 years old and from then on, Swan’s life became so mysterious, that the audience called her “Miss Forgotten”. But few people know that, during her time living for that family, Swan went through an event that made her fall into depression.
After going to the US to study abroad, Thien Nga met and fell in love with a San Jose University professor, knowing that her husband was also a student of her father. In a sharing, Ms. Hau said she was attracted by her husband’s talent and intelligence: “He is so good that, when he was studying at Berkeley University (California), he used to take 12 credits in a class. period, he studied up to 24 credits alone, professors at that time even asked him to mark exams from time to time. I really like talented men, that’s also one of the things about him that makes me attractive.”
Because the love is so great, Swan accepts the shortcomings of her husband’s personality such as dryness, patriarchy and jealousy: “He loves me very much, so he is jealous and afraid of losing his wife. When I first came to America, he didn’t like it. I go to crowded places, advise me not to be too close to my partner. Knowing what you mean, I always keep my distance at a social level every party occasion.” That’s why Swan changed from being limited to saying no to the media, becoming an exemplary family woman. After that, the two welcomed their first son, but it wasn’t long before misfortune struck.
At the end of 2015, while taking her children to school, Ngan received the news that her husband had a heart attack and died at the office. She shared that when she heard the news, she seemed to collapse, her limbs were weak, she couldn’t stand. For 2 years after her husband’s death, Swan fell into a state of depression, not wanting to do anything. This is the second time she has experienced such turmoil, the first is the death of her biological mother. Swan shared how she and her son overcame the incident: “I go to psychologists to calm down a bit. Twice a week, I go to the doctor with my son, they guide me how to think positively. After two years, my mother and I gradually calmed down and got up to continue living.”

“When he left, he was the economic breadwinner in the family, but thanks to my job, life between mother and daughter was not so bad. Later on, I continued to invest financially for my children’s future. Baby mature before his age, eager to learn, interested in learning about national leaders and world history. In this, he is somewhat superior to his father, because he did not start studying well until high school.” Thien Nga shared.
In 2018, Miss 7x returned to Vietnam on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Miss Vietnam. At the age of U50, Swan is still gorgeous, her beauty exudes elegance and charm.
