MacBook Air 2022 is still only equipped with M1 chip, released later this year?

According to MacRumors, citing sources from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the MacBook Air 2022 will have a completely new design with many color options similar to the 24-inch iMac model.

Specifically, the appearance of the new MacBook Air version possesses many similarities with the MacBook Pro 2021 but has a lighter and thinner size. The screen border and keyboard are also expected to be white instead of black as before.

Ming-Chi Kuo also said that the MacBook Air 2022 is still equipped with an M1 chip, not M2 like previous rumors. It is likely that the new MacBook Air model will also not use the MiniLED screen because this is an equipment only for Apple’s high-end Pro product line.

It is expected that the MacBook Air 2022 will begin mass production at the end of the second quarter or in the third quarter of this year. Other information about the price or detailed specifications of the device has not been disclosed yet.
