New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said that Australian citizens who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 can enter the country from April 12.
From May 1, all vaccinated travelers from visa-free countries, including the US and UK, will be welcome.
International travelers who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 upon arrival in New Zealand will not be subject to mandatory quarantine.
However, travelers are required to be tested for COVID-19 prior to departure and further testing upon entry and on the sixth day of their stay in New Zealand.
In the case of a positive test result, travelers will be required to undergo mandatory isolation at home or the place of registration of stay for at least 7 days.
