Polish PM: EU will ‘never leave Ukraine alone’
Visiting Kiev also includes the Prime Ministers of the Czech Republic and Slovenia, this is the first foreign leader’s visit to Ukraine since Russia launched a special military operation on February 24. The leaders all arrived in Kiev by rail.
At the press conference, the Polish leader affirmed that Ukraine has always received the clear support of the EU. The four leaders’ talks focused on issues of supporting Ukraine and strengthening sanctions against Russia.
The Czech Republic and Poland are members of both the EU and NATO and are among the strongest supporters of Ukraine in Europe. The Polish government statement said that the visit of the three leaders of Poland, Czech and Slovenia to Ukraine was made in accordance with the agreement with the head of the European Council and the president of the European Commission.
