The way to the flower land – Episode 17: Loi is devastated when he learns that Mr. Lam has liver cancer

Seeing Loi (Truong Lan) all day with a confused face, sitting up and sighing, Mr. Lam (Thanh Binh) encouraged his son to be shocked again. He thinks that everything is over anyway, hoping that Loi can think more and build a fortune because he doesn’t know how long he will live. Loi wondered why his father kept talking about death these days, making him feel scared. Mr. Lam only said that he was old, watching death like a flying cloud had nothing to fear.

The next day, Loi invited Linh Fat (Lam Duc Anh) to drink to give Linh money to pay for his father’s hospital bills. But at this time, Ms. Hoa (Dam Hang) called Loi to announce that her father had fainted, Loi’s face paled and ran home and forgot her appointment with Linh.

Linh waited at the rendezvous point and did not see Loi, then suddenly a group of thugs appeared to torture Linh to ask about her brother’s whereabouts. Because Linh’s brother borrowed some money from them, they forced Linh to bear it. They also call Linh’s parents, if they don’t pay, don’t expect to see their children and also steal Linh’s phone, making Loi unable to contact them.

Loi worriedly thought that Linh was angry because he didn’t come to the rendezvous point, he texted apologizing because he had a job at home. But still could not contact Linh, so Loi went home to find. At this moment, Loi meets Thanh (Anh Dao), but he wants to avoid the story of Storm (Mh Quan).

Because he knew he had mistakenly blamed Loi, Thanh apologized. Loi also admitted that because of him, Bao was injured. He should not have dragged Linh and Storm into his affairs. However, Thanh understood and encouraged Loi that once you are friends, you cannot ignore them when you are in trouble. Thanh also asked Loi to visit Bao at home, but Loi was determined to cut ties with Bao.

“Perhaps it would be better for him not to see each other,” Loi told Thanh.

Bored with friends, Loi accidentally overheard his father’s phone call with the doctor. Mr. Lam asked the doctor to send a prescription and also thanked the doctor because his body is receiving the medicine very well. He knew that the dangerous disease he was suffering from might not have long to live. Loi heard the whole story but people were dumbfounded. He does not know what illness his father is suffering from and why he has hidden it from him all this time.

Mr. Lam was not sad to announce to Loi that he had liver cancer. Loi did not believe after hearing that, so he forced his father to go to the provincial hospital for an accurate examination. Mr. Lam refused to say that he didn’t need it because of the times he told his friends that he was in the hospital for treatment. Loi now believes that to be true.

Loi couldn’t sleep because he was worried about his father. He was so worried that when he cooked porridge for his father, the pot burned black. Mr. Lam saw that his son had “failed” overnight, he invited Loi to eat pho. He was surprised because normally only working hard to eat, today Loi also knows how to wipe chopsticks and spoons for his father.

Making up excuses for being sick and dying will make Loi wake up and know how to practice and do business. But Mr. Lam gradually regretted seeing Loi completely broken down.

As for Thanh and Nghia (To Dung), both had disagreements on how to grow flowers to save costs. After being “brained” by Phuong, Nghia decided to follow Thanh’s idea. They finally found common ground.
