Vinpearl assigns management rights of 12 hotels and resorts to Meliá . Group

Vinpearl Joint Stock Company and Meliá Hotels International Hotel Group announced a strategic cooperation roadmap. Under this agreement, Vinpearl will cooperate to transfer the management rights of 12 hotels and resorts to Meliá Hotels International for a minimum period of 10 years in many provinces, from Hai Phong to Tay Ninh.

Vinpearl hotels and resorts will be transformed into Meliá Vinpearl to showcase the uniqueness and strength of both brands. Currently, Meliá Hotels International has 3 brands in Vietnam: Meliá Hotels & Resorts, Sol by Meliá and INNSiDE by Meliá.

18 years of development, Vinpearl has operated 35 hotels and resorts in 17 provinces and cities with a capacity of more than 18,500 hotel rooms and villas.

The cooperation with Vinpearl will bring the total number of Meliá’s existing rooms in Vietnam to 8,000 rooms, with 24 hotels and resorts, of which 8 are operating and 16 are about to open.

A representative of Vinpearl said that cooperating with international partners to operate a hotel chain will create conditions for the company to join the world-famous hotel network and contribute to enhancing Vietnam’s tourism.

The first hotel to launch with this new brand is Meliá Vinpearl Quang Binh, which has been rebranded from Vinpearl Quang Binh since January.

The operating Vinpearl Hotel Hue has also completed the transfer right this February.

The remaining 10 hotels will complete the rebranding to Meliá Vinpearl in the first half of this year, including Vinpearl Hotel Tay Ninh, Vinpearl Condotel Empire Nha Trang, Vinpearl Resort and Spa Long Beach Nha Trang, Vinpearl Condotel Riverfront Danang, Vinpearl Discovery Ha Tinh, Vinpearl Hotel Ha Tinh, Vinpearl Discovery Cua Hoi, Vinpearl Hotel Thanh Hoa, Vinpearl Condotel Phu Ly, Vinpearl Hotel Rivera Hai Phong.

These properties will be under Meliá’s management from June.

Meliá Hotels International said it will expand the Meliá Vinpearl system to places where Meliá-branded hotels already exist, such as in Da Nang, and also places where there are no hotels such as in Nha Trang and Hue.
