Windows 11 is putting business PCs in a difficult position

Every time Microsoft launches a new Windows operating system, businesses will certainly have to consider upgrading their hardware. Recently, network solutions company Riverbed has given negative numbers about the Windows 11 upgrade situation of enterprise devices.

Riverbed’s report indicates that more than a third of enterprise devices are not yet Windows 11 ready. Riverbed claims 23% of enterprise machines can be upgraded to meet operating system requirements but 12% is already Outdated and not upgradable. The cause comes from the same request that has prevented many ordinary users from upgrading to Windows 11, which is TPM 2.0.

If users can “cross the line” to install Windows 11 unofficially and accept the security risk, then businesses cannot accept this risk. And businesses cannot continue to use old Windows forever.

But that’s not all. Riverbed also found that nearly 1 in 5 devices surveyed will need to upgrade storage capacity to meet the 64GB figure that Windows 11 requires.

As noted above, not only businesses, many consumers also have trouble with the hardware requirements of Windows 11. Those limitations, as well as the controversial Start Menu design, gave Windows 11 a head start. The beginning did not go well. However, this does not stop the progress of Windows 11, this operating system continues to move up the rankings, currently being led by the “brother” Windows 10.
