Revenue returns to the old peak

FPT Joint Stock Company has just announced the documents of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in 2022. The meeting will be held on April 7, 2022. According to the report of the Board of Directors, in 2021 FPT achieved revenue of VND 35,657 billion and pre-tax profit of VND 6,337 billion.

In 2022, the company aims to increase revenue by 19% to 42,420 billion VND and profit before tax by 20% to 7,618 billion VND.

The next year’s revenue plan of FPT is equivalent to 2017, when the company is still consolidating the business results of FPT Trading (now renamed Synnex FPT). Meanwhile, profits will increase by more than 80% compared to 5 years ago.

Salary for executive members next year is 10.76 billion dong and usually up to 0.49% of pre-tax profit. The remuneration for non-executive members of the Board of Directors is VND 6 billion.

FPT said that investment activities in 2022 will cost about VND 4,000 billion, including VND 1,200 billion for Technology, VND 2,000 billion for telecommunications and VND 800 billion for education and other activities. .

FPT will present shareholders with a plan to pay a 20% cash dividend for 2021, equivalent to VND 2,000/share, and also pay a share dividend of 20%. The dividend target in 2022 is 20%.

Personnel change

From 2022, FPT’s Board of Directors will enter the new term 2022-2027. FPT will submit to the general meeting of shareholders the election of 7 new executives for the new term. In which, the three founding fathers of the nation, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Mr. Bui Quang Ngoc and Mr. Do Cao Bao will continue to attend. Besides, Mr. Jean Charles Belliol also continued to stick with FPT.

3 people who left the Board of Directors include Mr. Le Song Lai, Mr. Tomokazu Hamaguchi and Mr. Dan E Khoo. The three replacement names are Mr. Hiroshi Yokotsuka, Mr. Hamparur Rangadore Binod and Ms. Tran Thi Hong Linh.

Mr. Hiroshi Yokotsuka was born in 1951, Japanese nationality, has nearly 50 years of dedication in the field of information technology. He is the person who carried out a comprehensive reform of information technology for Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance in particular and the insurance industry in general with a large-scale restructuring project in the period 2004-2009. He served as Chairman of the Japan Information Technology Association and was a member of several committees on Information Technology policy of state agencies.

Currently, he continues to advocate and support in the field of digital transformation for Japanese businesses as the President of CeFIL, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting innovation related to Japan. Japan Business Federation (Keidanren).

Mr. Hamparur was born in 1962, an Indian nationality, with 36 years of experience in the information technology industry. He has been a member of Infosys since the beginning – the 4th largest Indian information technology company in the world, and has 28 years working at this group. He is the one who ensures the operation of Infosys branches in India and abroad.

Ms. Tran Thi Hong Linh was born in 1979, has more than 10 years of experience in the field of investment and corporate governance. She used to work at Transport Construction Corporation 4, Hanoi Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment Joint Stock Company (Hapharco), Vietnam Vegetable Oil Industry Corporation (Vocarimex). Ms. Linh is currently the Deputy Head of Investment Department of 4 State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) and is a member of the Board of Directors, the representative of SCIC capital at Vietnam Hydrometeorological and Environmental Equipment JSC.
