Airlines increase international flights

Accordingly, from the end of March, Vietnam Airlines increased to 97 flights per week. The airline plans to launch new regular routes with an expected frequency of 2 return flights/week, gradually restoring flights from Ho Chi Minh City to international destinations.
Similar to other airlines, Vietjet will increase the frequency of regular international routes connecting Vietnam with Korea, Taipei, Japan, Singapore, Thailand… At the same time, the airline also plans to exploit return flights to other countries in the region as well as further to India, Russia.
Regarding the volume of air transport after opening to international tourism, Mr. Bui Minh Dang, deputy head of the Air Transport Department, Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam, said the agency has given growth forecast scenarios. . In the medium scenario, in 2022, Vietnam’s aviation is expected to welcome 42-43 million passengers, reaching more than 50% compared to 2019. According to the new regulations of the Ministry of Health, people entering Vietnam by air need a negative test result for nCoV by PCR within 72 hours; If it is a quick test, it should be valid within 24 hours, before leaving the country.
People entering by land, waterway or railway shall apply similar regulations. In case there is no test, in the first 24 hours from the time of entry, from the border gate to the place of residence (hotel, private house…) it is necessary to limit stopping and contacting with other people. After having a negative test result, they are free to travel. Children under 2 years old are not required to be tested and are accompanied by parents, relatives…
Within 10 days from arrival, guests self-monitor their health and report to the nearest medical facility if they have symptoms of suspected COVID-19 infection, install the PC-Covid application during their stay in Vietnam.
Vietnam has also restored immigration measures and procedures for foreigners and overseas Vietnamese as before the COVID-19 pandemic.
