This artisan’s creative yet recycled work has been going on for the past 7 years.

Using only a simple, foot-operated sewing machine, 51-year-old tailor Filipina Lenora sews and weaves plastic bags, yarns and sacks into fashionable dresses and gowns. .

Her dresses sell for between $30-50 USD and are used in premieres, weddings and even competitions.

After the pandemic, she hopes to organize fashion events to showcase and inspire others to create clothes from common recycled materials.
