Hanoi bases on the number of Covid-19 cases to send students in grades 7-12 to school

The Hanoi Department of Education is required to soon have specific instructions for districts, towns and cities to decide on direct teaching for students in grades 7-12, based on the number of Covid-19 cases.

The above content was introduced by Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Chu Xuan Dung at the meeting of the Steering Committee for Disease Prevention and Control Covid-19 of the city, March 17.

Information at the meeting, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training Tran Luu Hoa said that last week, the rate of teachers and students infected with Covid-19 dropped sharply. The situation of direct teaching at schools still ensures and maintains flexibly adapting according to the guidelines, guiding documents of the city and the education industry.

Before the development of the Covid-19 epidemic, Mr. Hoa asked the districts, towns and cities to continue directing educational institutions to promote propaganda and update information fully related to epidemic prevention and control. At the same time, the locality strengthens the direction of educational institutions to promptly report and develop plans suitable to the actual situation for students to return to school.

At the meeting, a representative of the Hanoi Department of Tourism said that since March 15, tourism activities have been fully opened, including domestic tourism and international arrivals. The Department is developing a plan to reopen tourism activities under new normal conditions, ensuring safety according to the guidance of the Central Government and the city.

In the coming time, the unit recommends that localities plan to organize synchronous tourism activities, from relic sites to related services.

In addition, the Department of Tourism suggested that units promote propaganda to tourists about tours and tourism products of businesses that are still operating for people to choose. In particular, the 31st SEA Games is an opportunity to promote tourism in the capital with international friends, so localities need to step up propaganda and prepare well for this event.

Concluding speech, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Chu Xuan Dung said that in the past few days, the number of Covid-19 cases is still high but has tended to decrease, the rate of Covid-19 cases is still high. patient F0 hospitalization is low, the number of deaths is reduced. This shows that the city has controlled the epidemic situation.

The city has reviewed, consolidated and re-added teams to monitor and support people infected with Covid-19 at home and community Covid-19 groups with nearly 120,000 participants.

Dung said the city has reopened activities to adapt safely and flexibly but ensure the control of the epidemic situation. Localities need to continue to pay attention to and support F0 patients with underlying diseases, the elderly, and high-risk groups; speed up the progress of vaccination with the third dose and end in March.

Hanoi leaders also suggested that the Department of Health coordinate with relevant units to promote the implementation of digital signatures to support the settlement of social insurance payment procedures for F0 patients.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Health Vu Cao Cuong, the number of Covid-19 cases and the number of hospitalized patients in Hanoi tended to decrease in a recent week. In the past 7 days, the city recorded an average of more than 28,900 cases/day, the rate of serious patients and transfer of floors decreased.

Cuong said that although the number of cases has decreased, the core goals of disease prevention still need to be ensured. The city’s health sector continues to focus on controlling the rate of death and severe transfer, ensuring that the number of cases does not exceed the system’s receiving capacity…
