Looking for Dong A bank teller involved in the case of appropriating VND 7.6 billion

The person that the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department has just issued a tracing notice is Ms. Vu Thi Bich Diu (31 years old), used to be a teller at the Mien Tay Bus Transaction Office of Dong A Commercial Joint Stock Bank (located in Kinh Duong Vuong Street, Binh Tan District).

According to initial information, the Ho Chi Minh City Public Security Bureau is currently investigating the case of “lack of responsibility causing serious consequences” that occurred at Dong A Commercial Joint Stock Bank.

In the period from January 2013 to March 2015, the accounting controller of this bank, working at the Mien Tay Bus Station Transaction Office, Le My Thuan, used “tricks” to appropriate 7.6 billion VND. VND, through savings books of customers. Specifically, Thuan took advantage of the login names and passwords of the tellers’ accounts to access and appropriate money.

One of the teller accounts that Thuan used to appropriate the bank’s money was Ms. Diu’s account, which was assigned by the bank to her for management and use.

Later, Mrs. Diu quit working at the bank. During the investigation of the case, the Ho Chi Minh City Public Security Bureau of Investigation sent several invitations to Ms. Diu to work, but it is not clear where she is now.

Currently, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department has issued a notice, requesting Ms. Vu Thi Bich Diu to contact soon to serve the investigation.
