The remains of 16 unidentified martyrs were discovered in the Melaleuca forest

After half a month of expanding the search area, the functional forces gathered 16 martyrs’ remains, all of which have not been identified.

On March 17, the Military Command (CHQS) of Quang Tri province said that the Reconnaissance Team 584 had just coordinated with the Vinh Linh District Customs Department and local Party committees and authorities to search and gather 16 remains of martyrs. in Nam Son village, Vinh Son commune, Vinh Linh district.

The remains of martyrs were found at a depth of more than 1 m with relics such as bones, teeth, army buttons… The area where the martyrs’ remains were found, planted by local people, was about 1,000 wide. m2.
