Two children named Gleson Carvalho Ribeiro (8 years old) and Glaco Carvalho Ribeiro (6 years old) are members of a tribe living in the Amazon region. On February 18, two children went out to hunt birds in the forest and disappeared without a trace.

The Manicoré Fire Department set up a search and rescue team to find the boys, but later called off the search because the boys’ locations could not be located. But the Palmeira indigenous community doesn’t want to give up. They sent local people knowledgeable about the terrain to scour the forest.
And when hope was almost extinguished, on March 15, people suddenly found two children in extremely tragic appearance. They had to starve for many days and “fight” with countless dangers lurking in the forest.
According to local media, brothers Gleson and Glaco were found severely malnourished, only skin and bones, and needed immediate medical attention on March 15.
News site Imediato reported that a man was cutting firewood in the Amazon rainforest when he accidentally discovered two children. The news site also posted photos showing the two poor children who were so thin that they were only skin and bones, weak and almost exhausted and in need of medical assistance.

Medical experts have passed on medical instructions to doctors in Manicore on how to care for the babies to keep them safe.
A video shared on social media shows a crowd gathering to watch the boys being taken off the boat. An ambulance with flashing lights can be seen nearby.
The public security agency confirmed they were brought to the local town hall by boat and are expected to be airlifted to the state capital Manaus on March 17.
