On the night of March 16, a special reconnaissance team of Team 3, Criminal Police Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Public Security, patrolled the central streets of the city, and discovered that Nguyen Hoang Phuc was carrying Nguyen Huynh Anh Khoa with suspicious expressions.
The two subjects continuously looked around. Arriving on Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, District 3, the two subjects approached, snatched a man’s IPhone 13 Pro Max and then drove away.
The scout team immediately joined the chase. The two subjects risked their lives and tried to escape, but the scouts followed fiercely. The speed chase took place many kilometers, at the intersection of Bui Thi Xuan – Ton That Tung, the scout increased the throttle to overtake the two robbers. One was arrested on the spot, the other found a way to escape but was suppressed by the scouts who pulled out a gun.
According to the police, the two subjects had previous convictions for the crime of “robbing property”. The incident is being investigated extensively.
