F0 students cry because they are overloaded with homework, worried about failing the university entrance exam, but most fear is the sequelae of post-Covid-19 depression

In the context of the current high number of cases, many F0 students have become familiar with online learning at home. However, this raises controversy, whether the children’s education can be guaranteed in the health condition affected by the symptoms of Covid disease.

In fact, although most students are fully vaccinated, many F0 students still report having difficulty keeping up with schoolwork. Declining scores, affected health, anxiety about exam results… are common concerns of many students when infected with Covid during this period.

F0 students “explode their heads” because they study a lot, their scores decrease, the most difficult ones are those who study for university exams.

After 2 years of being “immune” to Covid-19, my friend Thu Huyen (18 years old, Hanoi city) became F0 right at the time when she was studying for the university exam. The girl in the group of subjects with Covid had quite severe symptoms, including low-grade fever, a lot of cough, hoarseness and fatigue. Even on quarantine days, Huyen was bedridden, unable to study due to the influence of the disease.

Huyen confided that the days with F0 were the time when her friend had to work twice as hard as usual to keep up with her studies. Not only has her health declined, but the spirit of the 12th grader is also greatly affected, especially when she thinks that the university entrance exam is coming very soon.

“During my illness, I spent the first 2 days not concentrating on my studies because I was too tired. Then I had to rewatch the lecture, learn all the knowledge the teacher taught in those two days. The following days. My health improved, I tried to study but the effect was not as expected.

Grade 12 has too much knowledge to learn, countless exercises to tell. When I was F0, sometimes I just wanted to quit school, often felt insecure because I was afraid of not being able to catch up with my friends, worried about not being able to get into the university of my dreams. I also want to rush into school right away, but for children like me who are severely bedridden for a few days, when they sit at the table, they will fall down anyway.” – Huyen recalls.

Thu Huyen – 12th grader: “Sometimes I just want to drop out of school, feel insecure because I’m afraid I can’t keep up with my friends”

Huyen added: “Most of my classmates were or are currently F0. Even though I’m in grade 12, people’s mentality is generally bored with studying.”

Like Thu Huyen, Jewel (18 years old, Hanoi) also had a difficult 12th grade year while studying for a stressful exam but contracted Covid. She said that although her health has not been affected much, her academic performance has decreased significantly since the first day of infection.

“The first time was F0, my learning was slower than you guys. After that, I tried but the result was not satisfactory, the score was lower than before. At that time, I was under a lot of pressure, mentally exhausted, like stress. Sometimes when I’m so tired, I want to cry, but I don’t dare to share it with anyone, so the pressure increases.”. – Bao Ngoc confided.

Bao Ngoc has a memorable experience when becoming F0 at the right time to study for university exams

Having been infected with Covid since March 6, it has been almost 2 weeks, but my friend Duy Nam (16 years old, Hanoi city) has not completely recovered from the disease. The 10th grader who had not yet recovered his health had to continue his online learning in class.

“When I didn’t get F0, I think you guys probably wouldn’t have had much trouble studying, but after experiencing it, I realized it was harder than I thought. The volume of exercises is not too much, but I have to work hard to listen to the lecture. While having F0, I feel bored with life, because I can’t do muchc” – Nam recounts his memorable experience as F0.

Grade 12 F0 students lamented because of post-Covid sequelae, parents worried about their children

“My health is normal now, but it seems that my studies are not so good” – Her friend Bao Ngoc, who is in grade 12, lamented the learning situation after being negative for Covid.

There are only a few months left until the National High School Exam will take place, but after 2 weeks of recovery, Ngoc is still having to get used to studying because of the effects of the post-Covid-19 sequelae.

“A few days ago, I couldn’t focus on studying, but when I started studying again, I discovered that I lost a lot of knowledge. And the results of my studies now are not good. She lectured but she couldn’t concentrate, studied without understanding a word. I think I’ve been psychologically affected a lot after Covid-19. Since the day I recovered, I feel sad every day without knowing the reason.”. – Ngoc shared.

In fact, having a child with Covid-19 is something that no parent wants. Although parents will never complain to their children, but the students are the ones who best understand the psychology of their parents’ love for their children.

“I love my parents very much. When I was sick with Covid, my parents worried that my studies would decrease compared to my friends, after all, I was in 12th grade. When I was sick, my parents even did all the work for me to take leave. again.

Every day, my father squeezes oranges and peels fruit for me to eat, normally he never does. Maybe this is normal for many people, but I personally feel happy and surprised.”. – Bao Ngoc confided.

Talking to us, Duy Nam recalled the time he was cared for by his parents when he became F0: “My parents always told me that if I was tired, I should lie down. One day I was so tired that I couldn’t get up anymore, my parents also encouraged me to take care of myself.

Normally, my mother often complains about medicine, but I know that she is more worried about my health. Even though I don’t show it, I know that my mother worries about me a lot.”
