From March 7, 2022, VinFast Canada officially accepts deposits for two electric SUV models VF 8 and VF 9. The starting price for these two models is announced at 51,250 CAD (about 928 million VND) with VF 8. and 69,750 CAD (about 1,263 billion VND) with VF 9. The starting prices of VF 8 and VF 9 in Vietnam are VND 1,057 billion and VND 1,443 billion, respectively.
VinFast said it received more than 300 orders in Canada after just one week. In Vietnam, the number of applications has reached about 40,000 after only one month of opening.

Thus, Canada is the latest market where VinFast sells two of its electric SUVs, after Vietnam, the US and some European countries.

The car deposit fee in Canada is lower, but the gift received has a lower value.
VF 8 and VF 9 are the two latest electric car models that VinFast has opened to the market. In particular, the VF 8 belongs to the D-size SUV segment, lower than the VF 9 which is an E-sized SUV. If compared to the segment, the VF 8 can be compared to the Mercedes-Benz GLC and the VF 9 compared to the GLE.

Both VF 8 and VF 9 own modern equipment such as “full” LED lights, 15.4-inch screen inside the car, panoramic sunroof, to smart technology features in the ADAS package and Smart Services. The electric motor on the VF 8 and VF 9 has a capacity of 402 horsepower, 640 Nm of torque and 4-wheel drive system. Two versions of VF 8 give a range of about 460 km and 510 km after a single charge. The battery of the two VF 9 versions gives a distance of about 485 km and 680 km after a single charge.
