Minister Nguyen Van Hung also affirmed that, with the solidarity and support of countries in Southeast Asia, the efforts of the Government and people of Vietnam, despite facing many difficulties and challenges due to the influence of the Covid-19 epidemic, up to now, the preparation for the 31st SEA Games in association with safe and effective measures to prevent and control the epidemic is being actively and urgently implemented by the Organizing Committee, ensuring the set schedule. .

The congress of the host country Vietnam will be held, the work will be done in the coming time so that the countries can prepare well for their sports delegation to attend the 31st SEA Games”, Minister Nguyen Van Hung said and We hope to receive the exchange, suggestions and experience sharing of the delegates for the host country to complete, in order to create the best conditions for the sports delegations of the countries attending the Games to be safe and successful.

“Once again, we sincerely thank Southeast Asian countries for their support to Vietnam over the past time and look forward to continuing to receive the cooperation, sharing, and overcoming the difficulties of the pandemic together. At the Conference, countries will listen to the Subcommittees of the 31st SEA Games Organizing Committee update reports on the preparation for the Games as well as provide the latest information on competition venues, programs, and competition contents. , the preparation of accommodation, traffic, logistics, security, reception, health and doping testing, entry and exit procedures to the participating countries’ sports delegations; discuss and agree on professional and technical issues and other contents related to the General Meeting. Due to the complicated situation of the Covid-19 pandemic in countries in Southeast Asia, the important content at this Conference is that the heads of sports delegations from all countries will discuss measures to prevent and control the epidemic. At the conference, the host country will provide information on the preparation process for the 31st SEA Games

After the conference, on March 19, representatives of countries will visit and survey in groups to ensure epidemic prevention and control. Accordingly, group 1 will survey in Hanoi, including visiting and surveying My Dinh National Stadium – where the opening ceremony and competition of Athletics and Football will take place; Water sports complex – where Swimming, Diving, Diving is held; Hanoi National Sports Center (organization of Archery and Archery). Group 2 will survey at the Indoor Athletics Palace (Closing, Fencing); Trinh Hoai Duc gymnasium (Kurush, Judo); Bac Tu Liem Gymnasium (Pencak Silat).

Group 3 will survey at Cau Giay gymnasium (Wushu); Horse Pants Sports Palace (Gymnastics, Artistic Gymnastics, Aerobic); Hoang Mai Gymnasium (Cloud Bridge); Tay Ho Gymnasium (Taekwondo), Thanh Tri Gymnasium (Basketball). Group 4 will survey in Bac Ninh, visit competition venues at Bac Ninh University of Sport (Boxing, Handball, Kick Boxing); Tennis court complex at Hanaka Industrial Park. The survey participants in group 5 will go on a field trip in Quang Ninh, visit the venue for Chess, Indoor Volleyball and Beach Volleyball, Women’s Soccer, Beach Handball, 2 and Triathlon. At the end of the Delegation Conference, representatives of the delegations will return on March 20.
