On the morning of March 18, a representative of the Academy of Journalism and Propaganda said that this year the school will not hold a journalistic aptitude test, instead recruiting students by four traditional methods: High school graduation exam scores, recruitment. straight, foreign language certificate and transcript review. This is the second year in a row that the school has not held this exam due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Since 2015, the Academy of Journalism and Propaganda has organized the Journalism Aptitude exam, exclusively for professional blocks including majors in Print journalism, Radio journalism, Television journalism (high quality), Online journalism. (high quality), Press photos, Television filming.

This year, the Academy of Journalism and Communication recruited 1,950 students. The school divides training programs into four groups, including: group 1 (journalism), group 2 (theory majors), group 3 (history majors, majors in history of the Communist Party of Vietnam) and group 4. (communication, advertising, international relations).

With regard to academic records, the school spends 20% of its target, equivalent to 390 students, for this method. Depending on the group of majors, the admission score will be equal to the sum of the average grade of the five high school semesters (except the second semester of grade 12) and the five-semester average of Literature or History or English.

If you win the first, second, or third prize in the provincial competition for excellent students or the national consolation prize, you will be awarded 0.1 – 0.3 points. In the case of an English certificate, the plus points range from 0.1 – 0.5.

For foreign language certificates, priority is given to candidates with a minimum IELTS of 5.5 or other equivalent English certificates. In addition, students must ensure that they have a GPA of not less than 7, good conduct in the five terms of high school (up to the first term of grade 12). Particularly for programs in the Journalism group, the score of Literature in five terms must be 6.5 or higher.

Considering the results from the 2022 high school graduation exam, the school spends 70% of the target. The combinations used for admission include A16 (Math, Literature, Natural Science), C00 (Literature, History, Geography), C03 (Literature, Math, History), C15 (Literature, Math, Social Science). , D01 (Literature, Math, English), D14 (Literature, History, English), D72 (Literature, Natural Science, English) and D78 (Literature, Social Science, English).

The school also recruits directly and prioritizes admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, with unlimited quotas. If not enough candidates are recruited by reviewing transcripts and English certificates, the remaining quota will be transferred to the method of using high school graduation exam scores.

Regarding the 2021 benchmark, the C15 complex Multimedia (Maths, Literature, Social Sciences) industry took the highest input – 28.6, followed by the Television Newspaper – 28 points – with the R16 combination (Language Arts and Sciences) , Review of Journalism, Social Sciences).
