Thanh Nien newspaper reported that around 0:00 on the same day, people on Tran Van Muoi street (hamlet 3, Xuan Thoi Thuong commune, Hoc Mon district) heard the noise on the street, so they opened the door to check. At this time, on the street, there were two groups of young people about 10 people riding motorbikes holding weapons, launching pigs to chase each other.

After a while of stabbing and slashing, two of them were injured. A person was taken to the hospital by a friend on a motorbike, when he went to the intersection of Tran Van Muoi – Xuan Thoi Thuong 9, he fell onto the road.

Right after that, 4 other young men on motorbikes, armed with weapons, ran to help.

The victim was then taken to Hoc Mon District Regional Hospital for emergency treatment but did not survive.

It is known that this melee caused one person to die and one to be injured. The death victim was initially identified as D. (24 years old, living in Hoc Mon).

The cause of the incident stemmed from a dispute on social networks. The police seized a number of weapons and evidence and took statements from the people involved to clarify this melee incident.
