Vietnam is studying four shots of COVID-19 vaccines

Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son said that the Ministry of Health and experts had a meeting about the injection of 4 doses of COVID-19 vaccines. The meeting was in consultation with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the US Centers for Disease Control. As a result, the experts basically agreed on the injection of the 4th dose. The subjects who were given priority to inject were those at risk, then the mass injection was carried out.

According to statistics of the Ministry of Health, as of the morning of March 18, the whole country had injected 201,079,635 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. In which, the number of injections for people aged 18 years and over is 184,024,335 doses (the first dose is 70,932,002 doses; the second dose is 67,850,628 doses; the third dose is 1,493,406 doses; the additional dose is 14,617,645 doses). dose and booster dose is 29,130,654 doses)

The number of doses for children aged 12-17 years is 17,055,300 doses (1st dose is 8,751,174 doses; 2nd dose is 8,304,126 doses).

The whole country has 47/63 provinces and cities reaching the coverage rate of nose 2 over 95%; 16/63 provinces and cities have the coverage rate of cape 2 from 90% to less than 95%.

The Ministry of Health said that localities need to complete the 3rd injection for people aged 18 years old in March, and study the injection. COVID-19 vaccine for children under 5 years old.
