3-year-old “photographer” successfully conquered the roof of Y Ty’s house with a height of 2860m

The story of a 3-year-old boy, 4 months old, Tran Minh Tri, who crossed more than 8km, successfully conquered the top of Lao Than (2,860m high) is very famous in the community of mountaineers in Vietnam. In the past two days, March 5 and 6, the boy had great experiences at a very young age.

Born accustomed to walking, climbing mountains

Baby Tran Minh Tri (whose name at home is Elephant) was born in a small village in Sapa town, Lao Cai province. From the moment she could walk, Oanh (the baby’s mother) walked with her child around her village. Especially during the complicated development of the Covid-19 epidemic, Elephant could not go to school, and Ms. Oanh did not go to work. Therefore, mother and daughter spend a lot of time at home practicing sports, walking about 5-6km every day. Even Elephants have traveled a distance of more than 10km. Thanks to that, Elephant forged myself the virtue of perseverance and perseverance.

It is known that Oanh and her husband had a plan for Elephant to conquer Lao Than peak on the occasion of the baby’s 3rd birthday – November 3, 2021. Due to personal business problems, the trip was postponed until early March. Talking about this decision, Ms. Oanh shared: “I’m also a mountaineer, I went to Lao Than about 7 years ago. I think this is one of the mountains that is quite easy to go, so I also want to give Elephant a try.”

The journey to conquer Lao Than peak

Mother and daughter Oanh moved from Sapa to Y Ty, arriving at the starting point at around 11 am. The way to conquer Lao Than peak has many steep sections, strong winds, sometimes Elephant’s legs are tired, so he has to ask for help from the aunts and uncles in the group. Going to the last leg of the journey, Ms. Oanh said: “When he was near the top of the mountain, when he got to the top, he was quite tired. Mom just said, “Son, there’s treasure on this top.” Then I ran up and hid candy under the top. Children are so innocent! He ran up, found the candy very happy.”

Overcoming 8km of mountain road, in the end, mother and daughter successfully conquered the roof of Y Ty’s house on the first day. Elephants enjoy running and jumping around the top of the peak in the joy and pride of their mother.

After this memorable experience, Ms. Oanh wishes to continue accompanying her son to conquer more peaks, especially the top 15 highest mountains in Vietnam. Ms. Oanh estimates that the climbing season is usually from November last year to April next year. So every year, she will climb 2 peaks with Elephant. And about 7 years from now (before the child is 10 years old) Elephant can conquer all 15 highest mountains in Vietnam.

That said, she did not put too much burden or pressure on her children. Ms. Oanh expressed: “It might be a bit greedy. Climbing is not as easy as in Elephant village, so I also choose my strength and choose my strength. It’s not in all these years that I let him climb all that much. the mountain, but I will try at a moderate level, suitable for my physical strength.”
